Each Shopee category has its own mandatory attributes that need to be specified for a product listed in this category. Depending on the category chosen for a product in the application, it is required to provide values for these attributes for the product. There are two types of attributes:
-
Attributes that can be pre-filled from the data in your E-Store. These are product image, product name, SKU, description, quantity, price, weight and dimensions. We recommend setting their values for products in your E-Store (keep in mind the restrictions on some fields). If dimensions and weight are set for a product in E-Store, then their values will be preset as the Shopee product listing attribute values.
-
Attributes to be filled manually. These are the fields that do not exist for products in E-store at all or it is not impossible to match their values from E-Store to Shopee automatically for products. The set of these attributes varies depending on the Shopee category chosen for a product (for example, size, color, type and others).
Note
Once you set values for those attributes for a product (or variation) on the Product Details page in the application, that does not change any existing details (including options) for this product in E-Store. These values will be used for the product listing on Shopee only.
A product variation is a combination of possible product options, and you can set a separate image, price, quantity and weight for each product variation. You can create variations for products that have only one option (for example, sizes S, M, and L) or multiple options.
It is possible to import and synchronize product variations to Shopee. If you have created variations for a product in your E-store, the list of variations displays in the Variations block on the Product Details page in the application. To access the Product Details page, click Edit Product next to a product on the Products page.
If a product has several options in the E-Store (for example, different sizes or colors with different quantities) and you’d like to import all of those product options from your E-Store into Shopee, you will need to create a separate product variation for each separate combination of product option values. For example, you want to sell a product—a t-shirt—that comes in a few different colors: green, yellow and red. To ensure easy importation and synchronization between your E-Store and Shopee, you would need to create separate product variations for each product option—green shirt, yellow shirt and red shirt.
The application allows you to go to a product page in the E-Store Control Panel to create variations by clicking Create New Variation.
Product variations can be created if a product has at least one option in the E-store (color, size, and so on). To create an option, in the Store Control Panel, click Catalog, click Edit product next to the product, and click the Options tab.
Once you create at least one option and set its available values, the Variations tab will be available to you. To create a new variation, click the New Variation button. This will open a window with a variation creation form.
On the Product Details page there may be alerts displayed that give hints on what needs to be fixed to successfully import and synchronize products to Shopee. These errors appear when the product synchronization status is Sync not enabled. Errors are displayed above the Product block.
The following errors may display:
-
Required fields are empty. You should fill in the following fields: {atributte_name_1}, {atributte_name_2}, …
This error indicates that you need to fill in the mandatory attributes for the product. The list of the attributes is provided within the error text. Once you fill in the product attribute values, click Save Attributes. If the values are saved successfully, the error will disappear.
If you face any technical issues or see any errors not described here, please contact the support team.
Note
Once a product is imported to Shopee, special hidden attributes are created for this product in the E-Store. They can be seen on the Product page, in the Attributes tab. Do not remove these attributes or their values for the product otherwise the synchronization will stop working.
